Mission
Kitty's Miracle Fund is inspired by Catherine, a very warm spirited little girl who was diagnosed with a horrible sickness: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
Following Catherine’s initial diagnosis, family friends and the community gathered together to help her family in every way as she began treatment. Unfortunately, complications arose resulting in an extended hospital stay and unexpected surgery to remove part of her lung. Shortly thereafter, Catherine’s family realized that their insurance coverage would soon surpass its lifetime cap and they would have to pay for treatments and other related expenses without the help of insurance. Thus, Kitty's Miracle Fund was founded.
Kitty’s Miracle Fund is a 501(c)(3) (pending) non-profit organization formed to raise funds for Tennessee Valley families whose children are being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Our goal is to help Tennessee Valley families requiring assistance with expenses related to the treatment of AML that are not otherwise covered by their medical insurance (medical bills, prescribed medication, travel, lodging, etc.). We strive to be a source of monetary assistance for these families so as to help ensure that every local child stricken with AML can receive the best treatment available regardless of insurance caps.
